Federal, State, & City Agencies in New York Name Top Consumer Complaint Categories

On Tuesday, March 5, staff from the Federal Trade Commission, Better Business Bureau, and other government and private groups will gather in New York City to announce the top consumer frauds and complaints of the past year.  The speakers will explain the top categories of complaints each organization received in 2012. FTC, BBB and NY agencies name top consumer complaints, offer consumer tips during NCPW

The Federal Trade Commission’s Northeast Regional Office and the Better Business Bureau Serving Metropolitan New York, and nine other consumer protection agencies and organizations will announce the top consumer complaints of the past year and provide New York area consumers with helpful tips on protecting themselves from these scams.  The press conference will take place during National Consumer Protection Week, on Thursday, March 6, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., at Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House, Meeting Room 1, 1 Bowling Green in New York City. Continue Reading >
