If you’re on this site, you probably know that National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW) is an annual event to highlight free resources from government agencies and consumer advocacy organizations that can help people make smarter buying decisions and spot scams. NCPW 2014 is March 2 – 8.
But you may not know that a number of NCPW partner agencies offer free consumer publications that you can distribute to friends and family, co-workers and other people in your networks and communities. For example, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has a page at ftc.gov/bulkorder where you can order information on avoiding scams and identity theft, staying safe online, using credit wisely, managing debt, and so many more important consumer topics.
Any time of the year is a good time to host a consumer protection event – and we encourage you to do just that! But to get materials from the FTC in time for NCPW, you must place your order by January 24, 2014. This allows for the FTC’s four-week minimum delivery time.
Be sure to pay the FTC's bulk order site a visit and order the resources you need to make your NCPW 2014 event a success!
