A Little Birdie Told Me.

Are you a servicemember who’s curious about credit?  Or are you dealing with debt?  Maybe you’re a military spouse who wants some tips on managing money. Then join us for a Twitter chat about consumer protection issues on June 19 at 2 p.m.  FTC staff and our partners at DoD, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Office of Servicemember Affairs, and Military Saves – will answer questions for 60 minutes on credit, debt, and savings.  To participate, follow @FTC and Tweet questions with the hashtag #mcpd.

The resources provided on this site help people learn how to steer clear of fraud and scams, understand what you're getting before you buy, avoid identity theft, stay safe online, and more. We also have information on managing money, credit and debt, health care and other consumer topics.

If you are seeking immediate help for the problems you mentioned, you may want to consider checking with government agencies and organizations in your state, county and/or city. They are likely to have programs that can assist you and your family.
